Individual therapy
Individual therapy is very much a joint process between you and the therapist. The overall goal is to inspire change or improve the quality of your life. One-to-one therapy can do many things. It can make you feel more positive by improving your compassion and self-esteem. Therapy itself can also teach you skills and strategies for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions and reaching your goals. Many Head Agenda clients enjoy the therapeutic journey and becoming more self-aware.
Head Agenda therapy can help treat a wide variety of mental, emotional, physical and behavioral issues. Anxiety, stress, food and eating issues, anger, relationship and marriage challenges, addiction, abuse, family issues, insomnia and sexuality – if any of these cause distress or interfere with daily life, therapy can help. Don’t wait for symptoms to become severe. If you’re unhappy or feel overwhelmed and hopeless, book an appointment and we’ll guide you through the therapy process.
Couples & families
Relationships can be complex and can often come under strain. Head Agenda counsellors are expert, caring and supportive confidants for couples and families going through difficult times. Think of a counsellor as a confidential and non-judgemental bridge that helps each partner or family member connect with the other’s world. Talking to a professional therapist can help you communicate with each other with more emotion and honesty. We’ll encourage you to you talk about the difficult stuff, including past experiences, present feelings, behaviour and difficulties you may have with each other. We’ll then help you understand each other and also yourselves, and how you can meet each other’s emotional needs. Once we’ve explored and understood any problems, we’ll help you decide what changes you can make to your relationship that will make you feel happier and more fulfilled.
Feel like you’re going around in circles? Afraid to talk about certain issues in case it makes things worse? Have nothing left to say to each other? Now might be a good time to set up an appointment with a qualified Head Agenda therapist. In our experience, we know that couples find it harder to start counselling. You might worry that telling the truth might hurt, upset or anger your partner. That’s understandable, however, every Head Agenda therapist is highly experienced, qualified and expert in giving partners equal airtime and understanding of each other’s perspectives. Even if things don’t change, counselling can help you see things differently, make decisions that help you move forward.
Children & teenagers
At Head Agenda, we’ve dedicated therapists that specialise in helping children and teenagers who might be experiencing a variety of issues. As children and adolescents grow and mature, they are constantly developing their social skills and emotional intelligence. It’s something they need to do to lead healthy, happy lives. However, some children and teenagers struggle to cope with certain challenges and situations.
If your child is experiencing emotions or is displaying behaviours that are affecting their happiness and ability to thrive, they could well benefit from Head Agenda therapy. You can accompany them to therapy sessions with a highly qualified Head Agenda psychotherapist. Alternatively, children and teenagers can see one of our therapists on their own. Either way, your child will benefit from our experienced counsellors’ vast experience in working with children, teenagers and family dynamics.
SMEs & corporate partners
If you own and run an SME, or are a director of a corporate organisation, Head Agenda can help you and your employees at all levels of your business with their mental wellbeing. Our co-founders’ backgrounds are from the professional business corporate sector. So, we have a unique and deep understanding of the difficulties you might face in maintaining a healthy workforce and extensive knowledge of the requirements and standards you expect.
Head Agenda can help you survey your teams for their mental agility. In fact, we offer a "Wellbeing Check-in" which assesses the mental health of your workforce. It covers everything from whether COVID has impacted on their wellbeing to if they are suffering from anxiety and potential burnout. We also use well documented NHS tools to measure your employees’ wellbeing and feed this back to you. This can then be used to help you with your HR engagement and sustainability goals.
